In the beginning of 2022 The Village of Pinecrest FL began construction on the Potable Water Project, aimed at providing residents with access to city water service. As of September 12, 2022, 60% of the new proposed water lines had been installed, with remaining phases already underway. To initiate the process, residents are directed to the Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer Department (MD-WASD) to establish an Account and setting of a water meter. In addition to applicable fees, residents have been advised to reach out to a licensed plumber prior to meter installation to determine the best place to install the water meter box in the swale of their property. In most cases, the best place to position the meter box is on the same side of the house as the current well, but depending on your particular property, the ideal location may vary.
